Two Asheville Doulas, Jordan Glover & Chama Woydak, have teamed up to create Homegrown Babies. We provide Asheville families with prenatal guidance, continuous labor support, and postpartum assistance that focuses on evidence-based information concerning everything from newborn care to emotional health.

Birth Doula Services

Jordan Glover & Chama Woydak are both DONA Certified Birth Doulas. Together we provide Birth Doula Services in the Asheville, NC area. We offer our clients at least two in-home prenatal sessions to build a strong relationship with you before the birth of your baby. Once you feel the first pangs of labor, one of us will be by your side, in your home. We will labor together until it is time to go to the hospital, or call your midwife. During labor you can count on us for continuous support, by facilitating a home-like environment, and providing comfort measures to help you cope. Postpartum Doula Services

Jordan Glover is also a DONA Certified Postpartum Doula. She has worked with over 50 postpartum families in the Asheville area. Her postpartum services consist of breastfeeding instruction, newborn sleep techniques, postpartum depression awareness and prevention, cooking, light housekeeping, sibling integration and much more. Jordan provides all of these services in the comfort of your own home, starting within 48 hours of the birth of your baby, continuing for up to 8 weeks postpartum. Lamaze & Hypnobirthing Classes

Chama Woydak & Jordan Glover are both Certified Lamaze Childbirth Educators. Jordan teaches in-home Lamaze classes that are perfectly tailored to meet each individual family's needs. She also teaches group and private newborn sleep, babywearing and breastfeeding classes. Chama teaches group classes at Family to Family, and New Dawn Midwifery. Her group classes are dynamic, and will easily keep you engaged in your learning experience. Chama is also a certified Hypnobirthing Instructor, helping interested families lean how to use hypnotherapy as a comfort measure during labor.
